Piles are swollen blood vessels found in the anal canal or on the rectum that may cause discomfort when passing stool, as well as sensations similar to sand or sticks in the rectal area.
Home remedies may help alleviate symptoms associated with piles; however, they won't address its underlying condition.
1. Aloe Vera
Piles (also referred to as hemorrhoids) are swollen veins in the anal and rectal areas that can be highly discomforting, leading to itching, pain and rectal bleeding. Aloe vera can be an effective natural bawaseer ka ilaj for hemorrhoids; simply cut a leaf of the plant, peel back its outer leaves, scoop out some gel from within it, mix it with some mineral water to form a paste, then use this paste as a suppository in the affected anal or rectum area and continue treatment multiple times each day to see results.
2. Cold Compress
Cold compresses can help alleviate the pain and itching associated with piles, as well as relieve constipation and decrease inflammation. It's recommended to use them at least three times each day, for at least 20 minutes each time.
Constipation can be avoided by drinking enough water and eating foods high in fibre, as well as resting and exercising regularly, along with maintaining a healthy weight.
Vara churna is an Ayurvedic herbal supplement composed of amla (Emblica officinalis), bibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica) and haritaki (Terminalia chebula). This combination serves as an effective treatment for piles and itching while simultaneously relieving gastritis, acidity and constipation symptoms. Roasted black cumin seeds can be an effective herbal treatment for piles, by improving digestion and relieving constipation. A spoonful of black cumin powder mixed with buttermilk should be taken twice daily to alleviate symptoms; diets rich in fiber help prevent constipation altogether.
Dried figs are another effective herbal solution to piles, helping promote regular bowel movements and easing pressure on rectal veins. For maximum effectiveness, soak three to four figs in water overnight before enjoying them in the morning as part of your breakfast meal or blend them and apply directly on hemorrhoids for pain reduction.
4. Proper Nutrition
Piles occur when muscles straining to control anus strain put pressure on veins that run through it, causing them to swell up, leading to pain and bleeding. Individuals can reduce their chances of piles by eating foods high in fibre and nutrients like vitamins.
Foods high in fibre include beans, oatmeal and whole grains; bean fiber helps soften stool while decreasing hemorrhoids risk. Other high-fibre sources include kale, carrots, apples and cucumbers.
Foods high in fat, sugar and caffeine may also help prevent piles. Such foods may be difficult to digest and cause more friction and itching in the rectum area; dehydration from caffeine consumption worsens piles symptoms further.
5. Over-the-Counter Medicines
