Effective Ways to Treat Stomach Acidity and Indigestion Naturally

Indigestion is a common digestive condition that can lead to abdominal discomfort and heartburn, but there are natural solutions for managing it such as eating healthy and drinking more water.

Drinking fat-free milk may help reduce stomach acid, while sipping on some chamomile tea may relax muscles in your gastrointestinal system and ease any associated discomfort.

Chew Your Food Well

If you're experiencing indigestion, chew your food thoroughly before swallowing; this can speed up digestion and relieve stomach acidity faster. In addition, drinking plenty of water will also help in avoiding further episodes of indigestion or heartburn.

If your symptoms are severe, over-the-counter antacids can help to alleviate your pain and discomfort. Home remedies, like baking soda can also be effective ways of treating indigestion.

Make a homemade baking soda antacid by mixing half a teaspoon of baking soda with four ounces of water and drink within one or two hours after eating to neutralize stomach acid and ease symptoms. Ginger may also provide relief.

Aim to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day - this doesn't need to be all at once; simply spread out 10 minute sessions throughout your day until you reach 30.
